DISY and AKEL leaderships end up stigmatising healthy Turkish Cypriot forces, which directly challenge the occupation and recall its bloodthirsty origins, George Kolokasidis, candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, said in a written statement.
He also states that the major party forces of the country (DISY - AKEL) wish to maintain the myth of the elected Turkish Cypriot leadership with whom we can get along, despite the Turkish occupation! They manage to forget that the conditions of occupation dictate both who is elected and what he will say, he adds.
According to Mr Kolokasidis, the persistent search for a solution is of course legitimate. And right. But not by distorting and victimizing freedom fighters.
