The Department of Antiquities illuminates Paphos Castle in gold as part of the World Childhood Cancer Awareness Day

According to an announcement by the Department of Antiquities, as part of the awareness activities against childhood cancer, which are carried out by the Pancyprian Association for Children with Cancer and Related Diseases "A Dream a Wish" on the occasion of the World Day against Childhood Cancer on February 15, 2022, will illuminate Paphos Castle in gold from February 13-15, 2022.

As mentioned, the main objective of the "A Dream a Wish" Association is to raise awareness and inform the public about childhood cancer, to fulfill the wishes of children with cancer, as well as to provide psychological and financial support to them and their families, who together fight the daily battle against cancer.

In the context of the social policy implemented by the Department of Antiquities through the illumination of Ancient Monuments, it is, the statement adds, with great pleasure to participate in yet another social action.

It also hopes that this will strengthen the efforts of the Association, while sending a message of support and optimism to all vulnerable groups of the population.
