The Prince Philip will be honoured by Queen Elizabeth in this year's Christmas message as this is the first holiday without her husband, who passed away this year at the age of 99.

In a photo released just 24 hours before the broadcast of her speech, Queen Elizabeth appears in a bright red outfit. Next to her is a photo of her standing next to Prince Philip.

To honor her husband, Queen Elizabeth is wearing the sapphire and chrysanthemum brooch that she wore for a honeymoon photo shoot in 1947. She also wore the same brooch to celebrate their wedding anniversary in 2007. This year, however, she chose just one. It is a snapshot from her anniversary celebrations with Prince Philip at Broadlands Country House.
