An autopsy has been carried out on the body of the unfortunate Harilaos victim of the family tragedy that unfolded yesterday in Limassol
The necropsy on the body of the unfortunate AAntonis Harilaou, 45 years old a professor from Trachoni, who fell dead from a shot accidentally fired by his 17-year-old son while they were on a hunting trip, was carried out by the coroner Angeliki Papetta.
According to the findings of the autopsy, the death of the unfortunate 45-year-old was caused by severe craniocerebral injury a consequence of a gunshot from a firearm.

According to the facts of the tragic case, the minor was standing about two meters away from his 45-year-old father when he saw a peridot, went to aim at it but it seems that his inexperience was fatal, as he eventually shot his father. The bullets hit the unfortunate man in the head. He died instantly.
Shocked, the 17-year-old informed the police. "I accidentally killed my father," he appears to have said. The tragic incident was immediately confirmed after the police were informed by other hunters who were on an excursion in the area. Shocked, they themselves rushed to see what had happened and to help the young man.
Police members who rushed to the scene found the tragedy. Two shotguns were found at the scene.
The news of the death of 45-year-old Antonis Harilaou from Trachoni, a teacher at the Limassol Technical School, was saddening. Everyone speaks of a meek and peaceful man.
The police are investigating a case of causing death by negligence, illegal possession and transport of a hunting weapon and illegal possession and transport of explosives, i.e. cartridges.
The case file will be completed and forwarded to Legal Services for instructions, and due to his age, the juvenile is considered criminally responsible.
