The questions arising from the medical files of the three girls - The baton of death
The case of the death of the three girls of the Daskalakis family in Patras has shocked the whole country. The central question remains: is this family a victim of a tragic coincidence or is there something more "dark" about the deaths of the three children?
We should note that in the coming days there will be a cycle of about 25 testimonies of doctors, nurses and private individuals in order to determine the circumstances of the deaths of Iris, Malena and Georgina.
"No significant health problems"
"The three girls had no significant health problems to justify their deaths, and in the space of about 33 months and while they are at completely different ages."
In fact, before entering this "dark period" that coincides with a domestic disturbance, they did not have any health issues. As if one gives the other the baton of ... the collapse of their health, in a frightening paradox," notes in a report one of the most important cardiac surgeons familiar with the death case, as reported in "Vima di Kyriaki."
At the same time, new questions arise from the medical file of little Malena, on the contents of which a report of the newspaper "BAM" is based. "Either this family won a "black" Joker, Proto and Lotto on the same ticket, or something else has happened. And to this mystery we will try to answer..."
This is the position of senior judicial and police sources cited by the same newspaper.
According to the same report, the prosecution authorities are said to be particularly troubled by other details that have been introduced through informal, so far, information about the way in which the forensic and especially the toxicological tests were carried out in the first year, which they describe as "formal" and inappropriate, as not all the substances were searched.
The case of Malena
They speak specifically about the causes of death of little Malena, who ended up in 2019 inside the "Children's". The histological examination found damage to the liver (extensive cenotopic degeneration), which was interpreted by forensic pathologist Christina Tsakonas as liver failure.
However, both the clinical picture and the complete medical file that the newspaper has in its hands, do not justify the tragic end.
The 9+1 questions
The same report, based on the medical file, presents 9+1 questions that the judicial and police authorities will have to answer through the investigation.
-Whether Malena was correctly diagnosed, and whether she did not end up with chronic, but acute liver failure due to drugs or other preparations taken from the vein or mouth that were not found-What exactly were Malena's standard toxicology tests looking for.[BR]-What caused the scratches on Malena's nose.[BR]-They determined that Malena's sample should be retested, immediately, to determine if it is liver failure or if there has been a misdiagnosis.[BR]-They consider that Iris's organs should be re-examined to determine whether or not she was indeed suffering from venous sinus agenesis or whether the infant had findings of liver failure due to medication.[AT THE SAME TIME, THEY ARE AWAITING THE RESULTS OF THE FULL (TOXICOLOGICAL AND HISTOLOGICAL) TESTS ON GEORGINA.
-A joint diagnosis is needed
-They say that the results should be correlated and re-examined by the same pathologist in order to arrive at a joint diagnosis for all three children.
-Georgina's pacemaker, which was buried with her, should be identified and removed. They say it must be received by the authorities to examine the data.
-To seek a clinical diagnosis from doctors on the cause of Georgina's cardiac arrest that caused her severe disability in April 2021, when there was no pre-existing problem. It is significant that the unfortunate girl was hospitalized for at least three months and the causes of the episode cannot have been undiagnosed by the Onassis Hospital.
-It should be investigated why the mother of the children while she was pregnant in March 2021 decided to induce an abortion, claiming that she feared a gene problem, a view that is not consistent with the results of the genetic test done on her and her husband, which came out clear.
