Robbery of a disabled person in Ayia Napa Illegal possession of drugs 30-year-old man arrested What the authorities found in his house and car

A 30-year-old resident of Famagusta district was arrested yesterday under a court warrant and taken into custody, for facilitating investigations in connection with an ongoing case of theft from a person and robbery.

The case was committed at noon on March 18, 2022, in Ayia Napa, with a 56-year-old man as the victim. According to the evidence under investigation, while the 56-year-old was on the coastal road of Ayia Napa, he was approached by an unknown man and while they were talking, the unknown man grabbed the chains he had on his neck and fled.

From the police investigations, testimony against the 30-year-old was secured. A court warrant was issued against him, pursuant to which he was arrested last night and taken into custody.

The arrest of the 30-year-old was followed by a search of his home and car. During the searches, a waist bag

was found and seized as evidence, containing the sum of €250 and a quantity of cannabis, weighing approximately one gram.
