"Tatar fires" against well-known Turkish Cypriot journalist "You humiliated me". What he said to him on the phone
The content of a recent telephone conversation with the leader of the Turkish Cypriot community was made public by the Director General of the Turkish Cypriot newspaper "Yeni Dusen".
On the occasion of the murder of the T/C businessman Khalil Falyali, Jenq Mutluyakali participated in a broadcast of the Turkish news channel "Halk", which is the organ of the Turkish opposition. In this broadcast, Mr. Mutluyakali focused on Ersin Tatar's relations with Falyali.
Shortly after the broadcast on the "Halk" channel, the TC journalist received a phone call from Mr. Tatar. In an opinion piece, Mr Mutluyakali said that in this conversation, Mr Tatar expressed to him his irritation at the placement of the T/C journalist on the Turkish channel. According to him, in the telephone conversation, Mr Tatar raised his tone of voice and then hung up the phone.
According to the T/C journalist, Mr Tatar was annoyed about the impact of his statements in Turkey and pointed out the following to him: "You humiliated me in Turkey. I did not receive a single lira from Falialiyali. He did not finance my election campaign. There is no evidence of that."
