Tatar reiterated his position on the "two-state solution" Message on the anniversary of the 1964 Malia incidents

Turkish Cypriot leader Ersin Tatar claimed that "the Turkish Cypriot people will not be turned into a minority and their state and sovereignty cannot be abandoned", writes the Turkish Cypriot newspaper "Gounes", as reported by the Press and Information Office (PIO).

In a message on the occasion of the anniversary of the Malia incidents in 1964, the TC leader said that "an agreement that takes our people back to 1974 cannot be accepted. It is not possible to ever abandon our state. Our goal is to reach a just and viable agreement. And the way to it is through a solution based on the existence of two sovereign and equal separate states."
