Tatar and Suzhouoglu meet with businessmen from Turkey
The existence of the Turkish Cypriot "people" is directly linked to the support of the motherland Turkey as a guarantor power on the island, Ersin Tatar said yesterday during a meeting with the chairman and board members of the Industrialists and Businessmen's Association of Manavgat, Turkey, who also had a meeting with the "Prime Minister", Faiz Suzhouğlu.
According to WFP, Tatar also said that in Cyprus there are "two equal peoples" and stressed the importance of their "sovereignty". Reiterating the position that in Cyprus there can be a political agreement based on "cooperation between the two sovereign equal states and state-to-state," Tatar argued that this is only possible with Turkey's support.
Referring to the Eastern Mediterranean, Tatar said that "there are many national interests in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Blue Homeland and in the airspace."
Referring to the Eastern Mediterranean, Tatar said that "there are many national interests in the Eastern Mediterranean, in the Blue Homeland and in the airspace. The Republic of Turkey is a country that is growing stronger day by day and has always stood by the Turks of Cyprus." According to him, "our task is to further strengthen our state and create a country where our people can live in hope and without fear. Once we put the pandemic behind us, we will accelerate our economic and political struggle."
Referring to the Turkey-Psevastate ties, Tatar said that the "existence of the Turkish Cypriot people is linked to the support of the motherland Turkey as a guarantor power."
In the context of the meeting, with the "Prime Minister", Mr. Suzhouoglu referred to the relations between the pseudo-state and this city, saying that historically, in addition to the exchange of population, they also had economic cooperation.
"We may be two separate states, but we are one nation with the same language and religion, our ancestors came from these lands of Anatolia and our ties are unbreakable ties, like claw and meat," he added.
