The US-led international counter-jihadist coalition today launched a raid against an al-Qaida-linked jihadist in a northern Syrian town, residents and sources close to the rebels fighting the Syrian government said.
According to these sources, several helicopters landed near the town of Atme in Idlib province, a rebel-controlled area near the border with Turkey, followed by explosions and gunfire near the home of a foreign jihadist.

A resident told Reuters news agency about several dead. According to local media, the bombing killed 12 people including 7 children and 3 women.
