It is a national priority to support the large families of Cyprus with targeted socio-economic measures, Presidential candidate George Kolokasidis said.
In his statements after a meeting with a delegation of the Pancyprian Organization of Polychildren, Mr. Kolokastasakis said. Kolokasidis, according to a statement, said that the strengthening of the large families is extremely important for national reasons concerning the protection of the Hellenism of Cyprus from the twofold danger of demographic decline: on the one hand due to illegal colonization and on the other hand due to the enormous pressure exerted by the increasing migratory flows.
The meeting discussed issues concerning the large families in Cyprus and the problems they face, especially in the current conditions of high prices and high inflation.
