Applications from companies/suppliers for inclusion of products in the price lists of public school canteens

The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MPSAN) announces that those companies/suppliers interested in including their products in the price lists of public school canteens of primary, Secondary General and Secondary Technical and Vocational Education, for the school year 2022-2023 only, can fill in a relevant form/application to the Central Control Committee of School Canteens (K.E.E.C.C.), which, as the Committee responsible for the inclusion of products in the price lists, decides on the products available from the canteens.

Interested parties should submit the relevant application to the C.E.C.C, no later than the end of January of 2022. The application form for approval of new products can be found on the website of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth at http://www.moec.gov.cy (Services Office of Civil Defence, Safety and Health Services Office School Canteens Forms). Note that applications are also being accepted for the inclusion of organic products in school canteens under the Green Public Procurement Action Plan, specifically the purchase of organic food and the provision of catering services. The measure concerns the purchase of products resulting from organic production and cultivation methods. These products must be labelled organic or meet at least the minimum criteria of the EU Toolbox.

The CECC will inform companies/suppliers about the approval or rejection of the applications submitted by the end of March 2022.

The price lists of approved products sold in public school canteens are posted on the website of the Ministry of Education and sent by circular to all schools.
