[CYPRUS TIMES] Stefanos' letter to the President: Calls for a Council of Heads on the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

Letter of the General Secretary of the C.E. of AKEL Stefanos Stefanos to the President of the Republic -Requests the convening of a Council of Heads on the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine

The General Secretary of the C.E. of AKEL Stefanos Stefanou today sent a letter to the President of the Republic in which he calls for a meeting of the Council of Heads on the consequences and problems arising and affecting our country due to the situation in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion.

The letter reads as follows:

"With this letter we request that you convene a meeting of the Council of Heads as soon as possible to discuss the consequences and problems arising and affecting our country due to the situation prevailing in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion.

We would request that the Ministers and Deputy Ministers with responsibility in areas affected by the situation be present at the meeting.

I note that AKEL is ready to contribute to the extent of its own capabilities to counter the negative consequences."
