The former co-host of Radio Arvila Stathis Panagiotopoulos was sentenced to 5 years in prison with a three-year suspension[/B] by the Thessaloniki Municipal Court for posting a video with personal moments without the consent of his partner.
He was also fined 10.000 euros and he will have to appear the first five days of the month at the relevant police station and a ban on leaving the country was imposed.[/B]
According to information, the request of the 30-year-old victim's side for an upgrade to felony charges was not granted.
It is recalled that Stathis Panagiotopoulos did not appear in court, unlike the victim, who testified about her traumatic experience. The well-known presenter was accused of the offence of "communication of personal data concerning the sexual life of natural persons".
The sufferer's appeal to the media
The lawyer of the 30-year-old first complainant made statements outside the court on Wednesday morning 9/2, asking all media not to take any pictures of her.
"We are waiting today to see what the outcome of the court will be. My client and I trust the justice system. Warm request, I have sent a press release, I strongly urge you not to be recorded in any way. As you can see, she is not next to me and you will not see her next to me outdoors. She also requests that she not be recorded in any way whatsoever. My client wishes to be convicted (Stathis Panagiotopoulos) for the actions he has taken against her. Psychologically it is very difficult, especially today that she will see him again if she attends in person." Ms Stavroula Antigoni Prili told the TV crews.
