Sixteen cases were investigated in the first month of 2022 by the Family Violence Unit of the Pafos Police Directorate, according to Pafos Assistant Police Director Michael Ioannou.
Mr. Ioannou said that the Violence in the Family Unit of the Paphos Police Department dealt with 16 cases in January from which 21 complainants and 18 accused persons emerged. Also, 10 arrests were made.
In addition, Mr. Ioannou continued, one exclusion order and one removal order from the victim's residence have been issued and in six cases restraining orders have been imposed by Court decision.
