SIKAP launches series of contacts with Pafos MPs

The Association of Leisure Centre Owners of Pafos is launching a series of contacts with Pafos MPs in order to promote the problems of the sector.

The pandemic, according to an announcement, hit leisure centres hard, with many of them in Paphos closing down as they were unable to cope with the difficulties created by the coronavirus. After DIKO MP Chrysanthos Savvidis, a meeting was held today with AKEL Paphos MP Valentinos Fakontis who showed great interest in the issues put before him.

Issues such as the sponsorship of electricity and for businesses, reduction of insurance contributions, intellectual - related rights, abolition of the 10% unit, training of foreigners working in leisure centres and issues of local character. Mr. Fakontis is expected through the appropriate actions to highlight the issues of SIKAP and bring them to the Parliament, as stated in the announcement.

SIKAP, according to the same announcement, will continue its contacts and upon their completion will announce to its members and generally to the owners of leisure centres in Pafos, in detail the issues raised, the results and the actions that will be decided.

AKEL Paphos MP Valentinos Fakontis was visited by SIKAP President Angelos Onisiforou and Executive Secretary Petros Kechriotis.
