Financial support from the State, asks SIKAP "Too many phone calls from colleagues helpless"

The recreation centers of Paphos are asking for financial support to be able to reopen after the winter season and the great damage they have suffered due to the pandemic, according to the president of the Pafos Recreation Centres Association SIKAP Angelos Onisiforou.

On a daily basis, says the President of SIKAP in a statement, we receive too many phone calls from colleagues, who declare themselves financially unable to reopen their businesses, a fact that is of particular concern to the Association.

He notes that more than 70% of the leisure centres in Paphos were closed during the winter period due to very low turnover, as there was no tourism and locals and visitors were confined to their homes.

Mr. Onisiforu calls on the relevant Ministries, the Government in general and the President of the Republic to see this big problem that has arisen and to grant immediate, one-time sponsorship to all recreation centers.
