The 65-year-old man who raped a man with mental retardation was referred to the Criminal Court - On trial until the beginning of his trial - He admitted his heinous acts to the investigators

A 65-year-old Greek man was referred to a direct trial before the Permanent Criminal Court of Nicosia today, who admitted to sexually abusing a 25-year-old mentally handicapped man.

It is recalled that, last December, the 25-year-old went with his parents to the authorities and reported his rape by this man.

Afterwards, the 65-year-old man, after being arrested by members of the Nicosia CID, was interrogated and admitted to his heinous acts.

According to the Cyprus Times, the 65-year-old had previously been of concern to the authorities and had a conviction for similar offences.

The court ordered him to remain in custody until the start of his trial.
