Intubated, 19-year-old man, who was injured in a new road collision that occurred last night in Limassol, is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit of Nicosia General Hospital. The collision also injured two other persons, who are being treated at a Limassol clinic.
The collision occurred at around 10.10pm. yesterday, on the vertical road of the New Port of Limassol, when under circumstances under investigation, the motorcycle driven by the 19-year-old collided with a motorcycle driven by a 20-year-old resident of Nicosia[/B]. The collision injured both the drivers of the two motorcycles and an 18-year-old woman, who was riding the 19-year-old's motorcycle.
They were taken to Limassol General Hospital, where it was found that the 19-year-old suffered fractures in his arms and legs and a cerebral haemorrhage. Due to the severity of his condition, he was intubated and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was kept for further treatment. According to the attending physicians, his health condition is considered quite critical.
As for the other two injured, it was found that the 20-year-old suffered fractures in his right leg and right arm and was kept for treatment at a private clinic in Limassol. The 18-year-old girl also remained in the same clinic for precautionary reasons. Their health condition is considered out of danger.
Limassol Traffic Police are investigating the causes of the collision.
