Closes at 12.00 noon today, Sunday, part of the Nicosia-Lemesos motorway, in the direction of Limassol, from the exit to Latsia until the entrance from the Industrial Area of Idali in the first phase and until the entrance from Kotsiati in the second phase, due to works to be carried out as part of the construction of the Nicosia Perimeter Motorway. Traffic from Limassol to Nicosia will be uninterrupted throughout the works.
A police statement said that traffic from Nicosia to Limassol will be routed through the exit to Latsia to the old Nicosia - Limassol road. Vehicle drivers will be able to return to the motorway, in the first phase, until 5.00 pm, via the entrance to the Idali Industrial Area and in the second phase, from 5.00 pm until 12.00 pm, via the entrance to the Kotsiati area.
The works are expected to be completed at 12.00 pm, with the motorway section being opened to traffic at the same time.
Passing motorists are advised to show due understanding and comply with temporary road markings and the instructions of on-duty members of the Police who will be at various points on the road network in the area where the roadworks will be carried out.
