Scientific tests "showed" a 21-year-old man for stealing a vehicle and jewellery in Limassol last October He was handcuffed He pleaded guilty He was taken into custody

Police in Limassol arrested a 21-year-old man on Friday night, for offences relating to the theft of a car and property committed last October.

According to police, the arrest of the young man was made after he was scientifically linked to the stolen car, which was found two months after it was stolen. The theft occurred on 21/10/2021, when the offenders snatched a car worth fourteen thousand euros, a bag of jewellery and property worth a total of 18.300 euros, according to the complaint.

On December 23, the stolen car was located by members of the police and taken for the necessary scientific tests. The suspect's genetic material was linked to that found in evidence recovered from the stolen car, so he was arrested and taken into custody.

Interrogated by police, he allegedly confessed to committing the theft. Today he was brought before the Limassol District Court and was remanded in custody for six days.
