A 60-year-old worker at a certain high school post in Famagusta province is facing trial, after a female student complained of sexual abuse.

According to Cyprus Times information, the complaint was made about a week ago by the student's parents, while the 60-year-old man, who was handcuffed, is in custody.

According to the schoolgirl's allegations, the 60-year-old man touched her on various parts of her body, while reports say authorities are investigating whether the man in question molested other minors.

The case has already been registered and the trial is expected to start in the coming days.
