[Cyprus Times] Russian citizen burns passport at the protest against the war in Ukraine

Сitizens from Ukraine, Russia, Nigeria, Georgia, and other countries came to support Ukraine in the war Russia has started. Russian citizen supported by his friends burned his passport.

“I feel embarrassed for my country. So embarrassed”, the man said. Another man from the crowd asked if it was his decision, the answer was strong “Yes”.

February 25th, the Ukrainian community in Paphos united their forces to protest against the war in Ukraine. Citizens of Paphos also support Ukrainian expats. On day to day basis, almost 300 participants meet at 3 pm in Paphos Harbour.

“We meet every day to show our support to Ukraine and its army, and attract attention to what is happening inside the country. Children are dying. This should be stopped”, said Iryna Manukovska, one of the organizers of protests.
