[Cyprus Times] Russia says merchant ship hit by Ukrainian fire

According to the Russian side, the Ukrainian army targeted a Russian merchant ship - Allegedly launched from a Russian port

The Russian merchant ship "Sormovsky 3064" was hit by the Ukrainian army, according to the Russian side, as reported by Ria Novosti.

The incident took place in the Sea of Azov, off Mariupol, and while the ship was 12 kilometers north of the village of Shambelskoye in the region of Cherbinovsky, Krasnodar Region.

The Russian agency reports that the ship had set sail from a Greek port. One of the shells caused a fire.

Thanks to the actions of the crew, the fire was dealt with and the ship was removed from the area where the attack took place.
