Return to duty for Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth has today held two internet hearings, following the cancellation of her engagements last week due to her contracting coronavirus.

As previously announced, the nearly 96-year-old monarch had experienced mild cold-like symptoms, but despite the cancellation of her appearances had continued to perform light duties.

Today she accepted the credentials of the new ambassadors of Andorra and Chad to the U.K.

She was announced to have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 on February 20. This was preceded by the positive diagnoses of Crown Prince Charles of Wales and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla.

Celebrations in Britain for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, meaning her 70 years on the throne, which ended in early February, are scheduled for early June.
