[CYPRUS TIMES] Resolution in Parliament on DISY's condemnation of Russia

Decision of the Executive Bureau of the Democratic Rally to propose a resolution to the House of Representatives on developments in Ukraine

At an extraordinary meeting today, the Executive Bureau of the Democratic Rally, with the participation of international experts and a group of specialists, was briefed on the latest developments in Eastern Ukraine.

During the meeting an analysis of the impact on our national issue, the economic impact of the European Union's sanctions on the Russian Federation and the impact of possible countermeasures on the part of the Russian Federation took place.

It was also decided on behalf of the Executive Bureau of the Democratic Rally to table a motion for a resolution in the House of Representatives condemning the illegal and unilateral declaration of independence of the breakaway territories of Donetsk and Luhansk in eastern Ukraine by the Russian Federation.
