Immobilization can also be done online at the TOM website (Road Transport Department www.mcw.gov.cy). Otherwise, the obligation to pay the amount corresponding to the registration fee continues to exist.

Vehicles for which the registration for the year 2021 has not been renewed and which have not been declared immobilised will be removed from the TOM register if the amount due for the year 2021 is not paid and the registration for 2022 is renewed by Friday, 11 March 2022.

In case of vehicle destruction, a vehicle registration cancellation application (form TOM 98A) accompanied by the "Certificate of Destruction" issued by licensed vehicle waste treatment facilities must be submitted to the TOM, in order to exempt the vehicle owner from the obligation to pay registration fees from the date of vehicle destruction.

Registration permits can be renewed throughout the year, online, at Banks, CCPs, Provincial offices of the Department of Postal Services and provincial offices of the TOM.

Finally, it is noted that no notices will be sent to vehicle owners for the renewal of registration permits.
