[BR]A total of twenty-four journalists from the specialised press gave the most votes to the Renault Kangoo Van and awarded it the title of "International Van of the Year 2022".
This is the fourth time a Renault commercial model has won this award, with the Renault Master winning the title in 1998, the Renault Trafic in 2002 and the electric Renault Kangoo Z.E. in 2012. Proof that Renault understands the high demands of the professional and builds models with modern and innovative technologies that meet every need.
The pan-European jury's journalists, specialists in commercial and industrial vehicles, ranked Renault's new commercial vehicle in first place among 14 other light commercial vehicles, from 11 different companies, presented in the last 12 months. The main assessment criteria for the International Van of the Year Award are the contribution of each new model to efficiency, safety, sustainability and modern environmental standards in the light commercial vehicle category.
The judges were impressed by the model's unique innovations, its usability and the high level of comfort and safety technology it offers. Some of these include the unique ease of loading thanks to the stunning 'Open Sesame by Renault' innovation, with the side door providing a 4.45-metre wide opening. In addition, it features the 'Easy Inside Rack' system, a sliding support rack for the safe transport of long objects inside the roof, for optimum use of the available loading space. A loading space of up to 3.9 m3, a maximum payload of 600-800 kg and a towing capacity of 1,500 kg. It has a modern, high-quality and ergonomic interior where, by folding down the back of the middle seat, the cab can be transformed into a mobile office while modern networking technologies, thanks to the new Renault EASY LINK multimedia system, make life easier for professionals.
Since its launch in 1997, Renault has built more than 4.3 million Kangoo vehicles worldwide in both passenger and commercial versions at its plant in France in which it has invested more than €450 million. The plant has also been equipped with a new battery assembly plant to prepare for production of the new electric Kangoo Van E-TECH.The new generation Renault Kangoo is expected in the showrooms of Pilakoutasgroup in the coming months.
