Photos of the victims of the tragedy of the fire in Mati, in July 2018 were placed today on seats in the Court of Appeal's courtroom, right behind the defendants' seats, by their relatives who are at the Athens Trial Court every day and are attending the trial.

According to the Greek protothema.gr, in particular, at the beginning of the hearing, the president referred to this move by the relatives of the victims, asking why they placed these photos.

"Do you have the feeling that we don't understand what we are trying?" the president said, with the prosecution lawyers responding by asking if such a thing is prohibited or disturbing the court.

The dialogue in court

President: We all know what we are trying, we all have knowledge and awareness. Why did you put the pictures in?Prosecution: I'm sorry, Madam President, because they want to. Why do you forbid it, Madam President?
