Rania Jim "I like the news bulletin because it keeps you tense, The well-known presenter of the MEGA news bulletin spoke about her career and her family
A guest in the company of "Eleni" was Rania Tzima, the presenter of the Central News Bulletin of MEGA.
Rania Tzima revealed that when she first saw Eleni Menegaki in the corridors of MEGA she stared at her in amazement, while the presenter thanked her for her sincere welcome during her first days at the channel. "I want my time to let the other person start unlocking doors, wardrobes... But then if you do, I won't think about it yesterday three and a bit, if for example I did well to tell Helen... If I decide to tell them, it means I've thought it through, I've weighed it, I've checked it out," she said.
Although Rania Jima has dedicated herself to the media sector, many people ask her why she doesn't turn to entertainment. She did, however, suggest to Eleni Menegaki that they should have an election night together! "I'm doing something wrong with the bulletin, huh? Guys, say it straight!" she said humorously and then explained: "The news is a magical thing that is addictive. It's intense. You don't know the next minute what you're going to be up against. That's magic for me who gets bored easily and is the elusive one. You don't have that in entertainment."
"You have to listen to what people want to see. There are other times when a lot of people don't want to see it, but for you to judge that 'I have to show you, you haven't understood it, but you have to turn your eyes there'." You don't read the bulletin. For better or worse you live it, you feel it, you sense it. I don't know if it's right or wrong... There are those who say that the presenter should be emptier. I can't do that. The bulletin goes through me, I feel it. Now I'm going back and I know it's not an easy day."
The journalist referred to the shocking current affairs cases and said she admires the greatness of soul of Alkis Kabanos' parents: "It is not only a horrible murder, but it has social implications. His parents have incredible greatness of soul, where do they find this strength?"
In addition, she said that she had happened to feel offended by an interlocutor and had openly shown her displeasure. Rania Jima spoke about her daughter, Helen, who is five and a half years old and revealed that she has adapted to her parents' schedule from a very young age: "We let her sleep at noon, so that she can bear the night longer, because when I come home at 9 o'clock at night she doesn't sleep to see me. They may listen to me now and say what an unacceptable mother she is, but I don't care, that's the reality."
About her husband, Gavriil Sakellaridis, she said that as far as she knows there is no intention in his sights of returning to politics. "I love my job. It gives me great satisfaction and fulfillment. There are many days when I go home and I feel it has filled my batteries," she said of her job. The journalist revealed that she is thinking of having a second child and spoke about how she felt like an only child: "It wasn't nice... You want your brother or sister to play with someone. I would go to the feet of the grown-ups and listen."
She says she is grateful for her co-workers and believes that it doesn't matter who presents the newscast if there are no colleagues running around reporting. "They are some of the best teams and newsrooms I've worked in. I feel very fortunate for my reporting colleagues. They're great guys, they give it their all at first light and if it weren't for them, I wouldn't have anything to say at 7:45 p.m. It doesn't matter who comes forward as an anchorman or anchorwoman if the colleagues don't do what they do every day," she said.
