It is necessary to seek normalization of relations and cooperation, Putin reportedly said on Friday, according to Russian media

President Vladimir Putin said that Russia has no "bad intentions" towards its neighbors.

Referring to the ongoing Russian "special operation" in Ukraine, as the Kremlin describes it, Putin stressed that Russia is only responding to "negative actions by other countries."

"We have no bad intentions towards our neighbors, we have always said that. I would also advise them not to escalate the situation, not to impose restrictions, we are fulfilling all our obligations and we will continue to fulfill them," Putin said.

According to him, it is necessary to seek normalization of relations and cooperation.

Commenting on the impact of sanctions imposed by the US and its Western allies, Putin pledged that Moscow will fulfill its economic obligations to other states.

"If someone is unwilling to cooperate with Russia, this will not prevent us from fulfilling our duties. We will win because we will gain new know-how," Putin said.
