"We understand very well what is happening in the Russian Federation and I can say that they are desperate." said the secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council
Frustrated and angry is the Russian president with the course of the invasion of Ukraine and the losses the Russian military has been recording lately, according to a Ukrainian official who claimed that Putin has "moratoriumed" about eight of his generals.
According to Ukrainskaya Pravda, the secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council Alexei Danilov said last Wednesday that the enemy "asked to remove about eight generals from their posts because they did not carry out their mission. New ones have now been appointed."
"We understand very well what is happening in the Russian Federation. Moreover, I can say that they are desperate," Danilov added.
The Ukrainian official noted in his remarks that Moscow has modified its military plans due to the course of the invasion of Ukraine. Even Russian propagandists have now changed their rhetoric, Danilov noted, and have moved away from the harsh statements of the early days of the war, seeing the courageous and united resistance of Ukrainians.
Recall that in yesterday's regular briefing, the British Ministry of Defence spoke of increased losses in Russian forces, due to which Putin will be forced to draw forces from all ranks of the Russian military or "from other sources" to replenish them.
The same statement noted that there has been a "notable decrease in overall Russian air activity" over Ukraine in recent days and noted that this decrease is likely due to the "unexpected effectiveness and resilience" of Ukrainian air defense forces.
The British Ministry of Defence also reported yesterday that the large Russian convoy located northwest of Kiev has made little headway in the last week and has been consistently recording losses at the hands of the Ukrainian armed forces.
