Yesterday's meeting between Emmanuel Macron and Vladimir Putin at the Kremlin lasted over five hours, and while political analysts tried to focus on whether anything was accomplished in the ongoing diplomatic tug-of-war over Ukraine, Twitter started partying!
The reason was Putin's "inspiration" to have the French president sit on the edge of the table a full seven metres away, perhaps also wanting to show his displeasure with Macron (or the European Union in general). Photos of the two politicians sitting at either end of the "aircraft carrier" table caused a frenzy on Twitter and other social media, with some users commenting on Putin's choice with pointed jokes full of innuendo, and others unleashing their creativity and decorating the long piece of furniture at will.
Anyway, Twitter users were not keen to "exploit" the footage that aired, creating memes that caused a lot of laughter.
