The Decree of the Minister of Transport on the recharging points for electric vehicles was published in the Official Gazette on Friday, with the Ministry of Transport reiterating the Government's readiness to create the conditions to reduce the environmental impact of transport.
According to the Ministry of Transport, aiming to transition to green transport and sustainable mobility in order to achieve the national target to reduce pollutants from transport by 50% by 2030, the Ministry is promoting electromobility and alternative forms of transport on the road network.
It adds that as part of the Government's broader plan for electromobility, a key pillar is the development of infrastructure for alternative fuels and therefore, it is promoting the definition of the required safety at electric vehicle recharging points and technical requirements to ensure the interoperability of recharging points.
