The 3-year-old boy suffering from heart disease will be transferred to Athens tomorrow at noon to the Pediatric Surgery Clinic of Matera, since it was not possible to transport him to Germany, as his parents were not vaccinated.

Specifically, according to official information from the Ministry of Health, the 3-year-old child will be transferred tomorrow at 12:00 in Athena to the Mother's Pediatric Surgery Clinic and will be treated by Dr. George Sarris.

As reported in a previous Cyprus Times report, the parents of the young child were finally convinced to get vaccinated and received the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine yesterday.

However, due to the fact that a certain amount of time had to pass before the medical centre would allow them to go there, an alternative solution was found and the child will be taken to Athens for surgery.

In the meantime the child continues to be treated at the Makarios Hospital in Nicosia with his condition described as stable.
