The conflict in Ukraine may not have spread, but the situation is more than just erratic

An official of the pro-Russian separatist rebels in eastern Ukraine has accused Ukrainian saboteurs of planting an improvised explosive device on a highway in the breakaway Donetsk region, killing three civilians.

"According to reports, it became known this morning, 22 February that groups of Ukrainian saboteurs detonated an explosive device on the Donetsk-Horlivka highway. The terrorist act killed three civilians", said Edward Basurin, head of the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.

No comment from Kiev

For the time being Kiev has not commented on these allegations and has previously rejected similar claims by separatists, accusing them and Russia of spreading false news.
