"Prime Minister" Faiz Suzhouoglu is today making his first visit to Ankara as "Prime Minister", where he will have separate meetings tomorrow with Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay and later with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, according to the Kipris newspaper.

According to the Press and Information Office, Mr. Suzhouoglu will be accompanied during the meetings by the "deputy finance minister" and the "deputy prime minister."

In a statement to the newspaper, Suzhouoglu reiterated that he was going to Ankara at the invitation and would return to the occupied territories on Thursday.

He also said that "as you know, after I took office as prime minister, I only had telephone communication with the Turkish president. I had not managed to meet him. During the meeting, we will probably discuss the economic situation of the country. We are going prepared. We will clearly express the economic and financial situation of the country."

Stating that he thinks that tomorrow's meeting will be a preliminary meeting, Suzhouoglu said that "in the coming period, after the formation of the government, we will discuss the economy at a technical level. I think this meeting will be a preliminary one. Immediately after the formation of the government, we will look together for solutions to the economic and fiscal difficulties. We know that Turkey will not leave us alone. It will stand by us, as it always has in every difficulty we experience. We will submit our projects to them."

Commenting on the latest polls on the upcoming early "parliamentary elections", Suzhouoglu said that it is evident from the results of all polls that the National Unity Party (UBP) will be in the "government" either alone or with an alliance of a small party.

Subsequently, Suzhouoglu reiterated that their goal is a one-party and self-reliant "government", noting that the "country" needs stability.

In remarks at the illegal airport in occupied Tymnos before his departure for Ankara, he said that this would be his first "official visit" to Ankara and that they would discuss all problems and finances at length.
