All Primary and Pre-Primary schools in Paphos are operating normally, according to Pafos Primary Education Officer Dimitris Mikellidis.

In a statement to the Cyprus News Agency, Mr. Dimitrios Mikelilidis said. Mikellidis said that schools in Paphos district are all operating normally including the Primary School and the Kindergarten of Panagia which were closed two days ago due to adverse weather conditions.

According to the Head of Primary Education of Paphos, the centres where the new Test to Stay measure was implemented operated smoothly on the first day yesterday, while some minor problems observed today have been addressed.

He also said, "some centres have been designated as such permanently and daily, and some others, which will alternate depending on the announcements that go out every afternoon."

In addition, he called on parents to be informed to know where their children should go in the morning , noting that this measure gives children the opportunity to stay in their schools and for schools to operate smoothly.

We are at the disposal of colleagues and the public for anything needed, he added.

He appreciated that parents have understood the whole philosophy of the measures and that there has been a satisfaction among the public that with the measures taken, their children can and are attending schools normally.
