Private meeting with President Anastasiades The war in Ukraine, the Cyprus problem and Turkish provocations
Slovenian President Borut Pahor, who is on an official visit to Nicosia, arrived at the Presidential Palace at around nine o'clock.
He was received by President Anastasiades and after the national anthems of the two countries were played. Pahor laid a wreath at the statue of Archbishop Makarios

The two Presidents will have a private meeting in which they will discuss bilateral relations between Cyprus and Slovenia, ways to further deepen cooperation between the two countries, and will also exchange views on the role that small EU Member States can play for the future of Europe.
President Anastasiades will also report on Turkey's provocative actions in the region, the efforts made by the Greek Cypriot side to restart the negotiation process, the Confidence Building Measures it has proposed and, more generally, on the efforts of the Republic of Cyprus to defend international legitimacy and the initiatives our country is developing in this direction.
