Asked about this on the sidelines of an event "Dressing Makarios in Green again", organized by the Independent Environmental Organization "Green Shield", Pelecanos said that the President of the Republic, as he has also stated yesterday, will normally sign the budget law since the priority is not to jeopardize the finances of the Republic.
"As for his right to invoke Article 139 in order to clarify the limits of powers and clarify how far either the legislature or the executive can move, the President of the Republic reserves this right and in the next few days he will decide whether he wishes to invoke this article," he concluded.
