Heavy traffic in the Troodos mountains Police recommend special attention

Heavy traffic is observed on the roads of Troodos, around 12.30 noon on Saturday, with members of the police being at various points to regulate traffic and assist the public where needed.

The roads leading into Troodos, like all roads in the highlands, are open to all vehicles.

The Police, however, due to the heavy traffic observed, recommend caution to those travelling on the mountain road network, and urge vehicle drivers to drive at a safe, low speed, maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and follow the instructions of police officers on duty.

It should be noted that the situation on the road network is variable due to the prevailing winter conditions. Before travelling, the public is advised to be informed of the situation on the road network through the Police bulletins, as published on the information website www.cypruspolicenews.com, the Road Network category, the Police's social media accounts on Twitter and Facebook, as well as the application - application - "Cyprus Police".
