Massive file of the gold passport case - Criminal prosecutions recommended by the investigators against Syllouris and Tziovanis - Legal Service decides the next steps Prosecutions for other protagonists in the videos
The Attorney General's Office with recommendations for criminal prosecutions has for about 10 days now had the voluminous file formed by the investigators of the CID Headquarters, on the high-profile case of the golden passports and the Al Jazeera documentary involving the former Speaker of the Parliament Dimitris Syllouris, as well as former AKEL MP Christakis Tziovanis.
According to the Cyprus Times, the voluminous file consisting of 40 box files is expected to be studied by the Legal Service in order to give further instructions for handling the case.

Same reports indicate that the police also gave specific instructions during the meeting held about a week ago at the Legal Service on the matter, to prosecute other persons besides Dimitris Syllouris and Christakis Tziovanis for offences involving conspiracy, conspiracy to commit felony corruption, false representations, etc.
It is recalled that the case of the "golden" Cypriot passports and after the controversial Al Jazeera documentary caused a furore in October 2020 while both Dimitris Syllouris, as Speaker of the Parliament, and Christakis Tziovanis, as MP, resigned from their posts.
The video in question implicated other individuals, including Andreas Pittatzis' law firm and other associates.
