According to a statement, the solemn ceremony took place last Friday, in the context of March 7, which has been established by the General Secretariat of Interpol as the International Day of Remembrance and Honour for Police and Firefighters who died in the line of duty.
"Our memory today is directed to all our colleagues who have lost their lives, both in times of tragedy for our country and our homeland, and in times of peace, in the daily performance of their duties," it adds.
"We stand in immeasurable admiration before this symbolic monument and bow in gratitude to our heroic colleagues," the Police Chief said.
