Donation of a state-of-the-art drone to the Police from Petrolina An addition that significantly upgrades the modern equipment of the Cyprus Police
A state-of-the-art, unmanned aircraft (drone) was added a few days ago to the technological equipment of the Cyprus Police. It is a DJI Matrice RTK 300 quadcopter, which was donated to the Police by the Cypriot oil company Petrolina.
The state-of-the-art drone was handed over by the Executive Managing Director (CEO) of Petrolina, Mr. Dinos Lefkaritis, to the Chief of Police, Mr. Stelios Papatheodorou, during a ceremony held on February 9, 2022, at the Department of Technological Development of the Police Headquarters.
This drone, which covers a range of more than 6km and reaches a flight altitude of 500m, has multiple cameras and can be used in various police missions and operations, including firefighting, policing, locating missing persons, etc.On receiving the drone, the Chief of Police thanked Mr. Lefkaritis, stressing that this is an addition, which significantly upgrades the equipment of the Police.
