[CYPRUS TIMES] Patras: They persuaded an elderly woman to throw 20,000 euros from the balcony!

Pretending to be doctors, they told her that her daughter should be operated on immediately

Scammers pretended to be doctors and called an elderly woman in Patras, convincing her to give them generously about 20.000 euros.

According to pelop.gr, the perpetrators called the elderly woman and convinced her that her daughter must go into surgery immediately, managing to take the 20.000 euros.

In fact, the perpetrators, showing their... social sensitivity, in order not to tire the elderly woman up and down the stairs of the house, asked her to put the money in a bag and throw it from the balcony to the man who was going to pick it up.

The incident was reported to the police and investigations are underway to locate and arrest the perpetrators.
