[/QUOTE]Under the police microscope the material sent by Gionis Photos and party invitations among the data received by the police from the Greek activist Expected establishment of an investigative team to investigate Today the first statements from the Police
Every word and every photo from the email sent by the Greek activist, is being studied by the police, in order to draw the first conclusions about the possibility that the pimp ring that operates in Greece and came to light recently after the 24-year-old Georgian woman's complaint, may have spread its tentacles to Cyprus as well.
As mentioned in a previous post, two investigators took over the study of the material from the very first moment. First statements from the police side are expected at noon and it is possible that the establishment of an investigative team to investigate evidence that may arise will be announced.
As reported in yesterday's Cyprus Times, the 47 pages sent by Elias Gionis include invitations to parties and photos, mostly from posts on social media. More specifically, as the Cyprus Times learns, these are invitations that appear to have reached Elias Gionis from girls who had been invited to parties in various parts of Greece, such as the one where 24-year-old Georgia, who complained of being gang-raped, was found on the night in question on New Year's Eve in Thessaloniki. As far as the photos are concerned, it seems that these relate to messages that the activist had received in the previous period on social media.
A meeting is expected to be held today for a first assessment of the data and to brief the Chief of Force. It is not excluded, if it is deemed necessary by the police to contact Ilias Gioni in order to solve some questions arising from the study of the data, such as whether he knows about the photos taken from where and when.
The possibility to call for testimony persons who appear in some photos that came into the possession of Gioni, seems to be for now at least remote, without at least completed and evaluated in depth the reading of all the data.
If from the evidence that has been sent, it is assessed that statements should also be taken from Greece, then it is not excluded that investigators from the HQ CID will travel all the way there.
