Over 466 million COVID-19 cases and over 6 million deaths worldwide, 398 million recovered

466,530,577 cases of coronavirus worldwide and 6.088,149 deaths, according to the latest Worldometers count.

On Thursday 17 March, the total number of deaths recorded worldwide was 3,579. This compares to 6,038 deaths a month ago on 14 February. In addition, 2,074,882 new cases were detected worldwide on Thursday.

Currently internationally, there are 62,501,233 active cases, of which 0.1% or 63,213 are in serious or critical condition.

The most cases since the beginning of the pandemic are in the US, where 81,350,883 cases have been detected since the beginning of the pandemic and 996,072 deaths have been recorded. In India, the second country in terms of recorded cases, 43,004,005 cases and 516,312 deaths were recorded.

Brazil followed, with 29,527,640 cases and 656,487 deaths; France, with 23,860,194 cases and 140,729 deaths; and the United Kingdom, where 20,001,627 cases and 163,386 deaths were recorded.
