The EODY announcement:

The new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 26.536, of which 27 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2,684,916 (daily change +1.0%), of which 49.3% are men.

Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 201 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1,391 are associated with an already known case.

Daily evolution of the pandemic: The daily distribution of confirmed cases is as follows (the line represents the overall, cumulative distribution of cases).

New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 50, with a total of 26,686 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.

The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 358 (65.4% male). Their median age is 69 years. 90.2% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 234 (65.36%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 124 (34.64%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,365 patients have been discharged from ICUs.

New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 296 (daily change +22.31%). The seven-day average admission is 291 patients.



The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 108 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
