The new cases of the virus in Greece - What EODY announced - The situation with deaths and hospitalized people
The EODY's announcement:
EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of coronavirus recorded in the last 24 hours are 17.409, of which 55 were identified following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 1,830,263 (daily change +1.0%), of which 49.8% are men.
Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 401 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 1,750 are associated with an already known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 98, with a total of 22,852 deaths recorded since the start of the outbreak. 95.0% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of hospitalized intubated patients is 653 (59.3% male). Their median age is 66 years. 83.0% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 525 (80.4%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 128 (19.6%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,986 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the territory are 432 (daily change -7.1%). The seven-day average admission is 484 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 78 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
