The EODY's announcement:
EODY announced that the new laboratory-confirmed cases of the disease recorded in the last 24 hours are 10.853 , of which 66 were detected following checks at the country's entry gates. The total number of cases is 2,174,093 (daily change +0.5%), of which 49.7% are men. Based on the confirmed cases in the last 7 days, 409 are considered to be associated with travel from abroad and 2,509 are associated with an already known case.
New deaths of COVID-19 patients are 72, with a total of 24,754 deaths recorded since the start of the epidemic. 95.2% had underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older.
The number of patients hospitalized intubated is 499 (62.9% male). Their median age is 66 years. 84.8% have an underlying disease and/or age 70 years or older. Among intubated patients, 382 (76.55%) are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated and 117 (23.45%) are fully vaccinated. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,139 patients have been discharged from ICUs.
New admissions of Covid-19 patients to hospitals in the country are 369 (daily change +3.07%). The average seven-day admission is 406 patients.The median age of cases is 35 years (range 0.2 to 106 years), while the median age of deaths is 79 years (range 0.2 to 106 years).
